I’m a writer and certified sommelier. I cover the Willamette Valley and Oregon for Decanter magazine.

My work also appears in Somm Journal, Tasting Panel, and Oregon Wine Press. From 2015 to 2018, I wrote the column Wine in Common in the Nashville Scene. I was a fellow at the Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley, and I received the Frank & Pardis Stitt Fellowship (for writing in the culinary arts) from the Rivendell Writers’ Colony in Sewanee, Tennessee.

I’m also a UCLA football alum and cancer survivor. I have an M.F.A. in nonfiction from Oregon State University, where I studied with Elena Passarello and Justin St. Germain. I live with my family in Eugene, Oregon.
